Six months waiting. We are eager to get back on the list, and that will hopefully happen very soon. Chris is tentatively starting a part-time job on Thursday (we are waiting for one more piece of paperwork to go through before it's finalized). That job will also hopefully have the opportunity to go full-time soon. We are praising God for opening this door! We are also continuing to pray that God will continue to open doors of opportunity that would allow for a full-time job. Thank you for your words of prayer and support! We truly appreciate them.
With complete transparency, I have to say the last month has been very difficult. Our Ethiopian kiddo has been on my mind constantly. I know we will look back at this time and realize that our child was not born yet or not in the orphanage or some other reason that would make sense for us to not be on the list right now, but it is difficult each day to know that there is not anything more I can do to change our situation. But that is all for my pity party today.
Now that courts have reopened, I can't wait to read everyone's travel stories! Our dear friends The Hollomons were there just last week for their first trip (and they passed court! yay!) and it was awesome to hear their stories. I can't wait for our turn to go!
Praying, praying, praying for you guys! I understand how hard it is to wait (we also recently hit 6 months) and trust in God's plan and timing, but I can't imagine the added difficulty you guys are facing! But, God loves you, loves adoption, and is with you every step of this journey. Praying for the new job to work out and for God to fill you with peace about it all!
ReplyDeleteI pray that you are able to get off of hold soon as well. I hope you don't mind, I added your blog to my blog list.
